The rails and trays project
Some time ago I blogged about a construction project where we made up a number of pairs of rails to take steel sliding trays for my nursery, Stanmore Horticultural and new Clivia buildings for the collection. Finally we’ve started to assemble these for the various areas. In total there are now over one thousand galvanised steel trays each 1.8m x 1.2m, sliding on more than a kilometer of rails. Images attached show a tray in use with collectibles on it, and some construction shots. We have also moved the first two 6 meter sections into place on a recently completed full sun pad.
New Clivia Shade House Project
This is the area for the new Clivia Shade house. Due to the slope, it will need 4 retaining walls to give level pads going up the hill. The size will end up approximately 48 meters x 10 meters.
Equipment for the new Clivia Igloo
